Catching red scorpionfish, lesser spotted dogfish and european conger characterizes today's boat fishing session which takes place about 40-45 miles from the coast in the company of the team of experts of the Tubertini brand.
The day of searching for these fantastic fish starts early and with lots of bait to put into fishing. The protagonists do not hesitate and begin to prepare the equipment for the session and the chosen rods.
A few minutes later, a red scorpionfish weighing just over a kilo and with a mouth about 8 centimeters wide opens the day and is shown with satisfaction in front of the camera. Experts explain how important it is to handle this fish carefully, as it has poisonous glands that can cause more than one nuisance.
Nevertheless, the research continues and is satisfactory thanks to the variety of baits used by the team. A winning session, in fact, is also determined by the differentiation of the proposals to the prey. Sardines, squids, small cuttlefish, shrimps and mackerel are just some of the baits used and are alternated with the live baits caught on the spot such as sea breams, horse mackerel and small cods of which the larger fish are greedy.
The cuttlefish and squid baits give the first results, in fact the protagonists manage to catch a lesser spotted dogfish from the satisfactory dimensions, to handle it too with care. Its splendid features and colours are carefully studied by the team, who appreciate its resemblance to a small shark. The capture of this specimen is accompanied by that of an european conger, typical of today's fishing area and the appearance of a snake.
European conger and lesser spotted dogfish continue to alternate bites on live baits, which are the ones that give more and more satisfaction during the fishing sessions from the boat. In fact, little fish caught during the day are immediately used to attract larger fish such as red scorpionfish, which are the main goal of the day.
After several hours of catch, the team decided to move even further offshore, about 55 miles from the coast, hoping for even more satisfying prey.
The equipment used by the protagonists proves to be successful, as they are put into fishing rods with incredible performance.
