In surfcasting fishing, the difference between daylight and the darkness of the minutes immediately after sunset determines crucially the course of the fishing session.

The marine world, in fact, changes radically and so does the activity of the fish. Some turn out to be more present at certain times of the day, others go fishing with the arrival of the early hours of the evening.

This is what happens to the protagonists of today's session who try their hand at a surfcasting fishing session on the beautiful beach of Antibes, on the French Riviera. The fishing spot, chosen not only for its unquestionable charm but also for the presence of many fish of various sizes, attracts every day not only tourists but also many fishermen, such as the experts of the Tubertini brand.

Many are the products put into fishing by the protagonists, such as the new R18. This three-piece rod is a tool of the latest generation characterized by an extreme lightness that facilitates the launch at a great distance and no fatigue in the phase of recovery of the fish. The ringing of this rod is the top of the range Fuji and the grafts are in reinforced carbon. A rod that can not miss especially in the equipment of real surfcasting enthusiasts.

The main objective of the day is to catch large fish, such as gilthead sea breams and sea bass, yet this is more complicated than expected.

The daytime lights, in fact, reward the presence of very small fish approaching the shore attracted by the baits proposed, in this specific case lugworm and American, both ideal worms for catching fish of good size.

The common pandora follow each other one after the other, caught at about 80 metres from the shore and between the seaweed present in large quantities in the water. The capture of these small fish discourages the protagonists of the video, who are only waiting for the evening to fall and then the change of light to be able to test their equipment on larger fish, hoping to meet someone.

Shortly after the sun set, as expected, some more important food is heard on the tops of the fishing rods, including the Spettralia. A few minutes later a beautiful sand steenbras appears on the shore and is proudly shown by the experts, a sign that the fish so desired by the Tubertini team are finally entering the fishing area.

The equipment, including the Karma reel and the Delain rod, also by Tubertini, is put to the test by what soon after turns out to be a moment of frenzy for the fish. The next hour, in fact, does not leave the protagonists a moment free, because the bites are many and many sand steenbras are brought to the shore, some of larger size, other smaller, and at the same time also several couples of sand steenbras and common pandora; in fact, the latter have not surrendered despite the decline of light and continue to eat on the proposed baits, even if they are much larger than those of the previous hours.

The fishing session ends with the capture of a last sand steenbras that does not spare a short but intense fight before surrendering.

Once again, fishing proves to be not only a pleasant activity to be carried out outdoors but also a study of marine currents, time and light that ensure more important catches.
