DAIWA 20 AIRITY LT is a fixed reel reel available from January 2021.The MQ (monocoque) body is constructed from a single piece of machined material. This makes it more robust, rigid and sealed against saltiness. The monocoque body allows the housing of a larger rotor, improving rotation and increasing power. The "Air Rotor" is made of ZAION V, the new carbon fibre-based super composite material developed by Daiwa to further improve the performance of LT (Light & Tough) reels: it is as light as ZAION and significantly stiffer and more stress resistant than DS5 and DS4 materials.The mechanical properties of ZAION V allow the creation of bodies and rotors with a lighter weight compared to DS4 and DS4 materials: the internal mechanics can therefore work better, guaranteeing greater fluidity and superior resistance to fatigue, resulting in lighter and more performing reels. The body of the reel is protected by the MAG SEALED system developed by Daiwa, which is a special magnetized oil membrane (MagOli) that seals the opening from the body where the sprocket comes out.The newly designed TOUGH DIGIGEAR control wheel, produced in Aluminium, improves the resistance. The reel used is the LONG CAST ABS in Aluminium which improves the casting performance.With the fantastic ATD clutch (Automatic Tournament Drag) the brake on the spool reacts gently to the initial stress, then settles progressively on the "brake" set. 8 ball bearings of which 3 CRBB (corrosion resistant) are able to ensure the optimal fluidity of rotation.
