The new Shimano Aldebaran MGL is the lightest ever low profile baitcasting reel. It weighs only 135 g and fits perfectly on any BFS rod.
Thanks to the 9 + 1 S-ARB ball bearings, all components of the reel work very smoothly. In addition, this reel has a new MGL spool, which makes it even lighter than the previous version.
This generates a slight initial inertia, making it possible to throw very light baits at the correct distance.
There is also a new SVS braking system that prevents kickback during the launch.
Considering all these features, the new Aldebaran MGL is an excellent reel for fishing Bait finesse and vertical jigging in search of perch but, with a weight of up to 4.5 kg, can also support large pike.
