The Yasei Dropshot & Light Jig series have been created with two specific techniques in mind: Dropshotting and Light Jigging.
The Dropshotting requires a soft tip that allows you to play with the bait while leaving the weight of the dropshot on the bottom.
This technique is very effective for slow fishing with large prey.
Since the bait is weightless, it is very easy to bite without effort. It is also very effective when the fish does not bite aggressively.
Since the tip is very soft, it is perfect for use as a second rod combined with small deadbaits on dropshot hooks.
When the fish bites, you will immediately feel the bite at the tip which, being very flexible, does not give the fish the feeling of resistance and allows the fisherman time to accommodate the hook.
It is also a perfect rod for fishing with light jigs.
Due to the soft tip, only this part will bend during fishing.
But when the fish bites the rough, robust and sensitive part, it allows you to keep an excellent control of the hook.
To ensure easy transport with dropshot hooks, a dropshot holder has been added to the rod. In the new Yasei range, there are two different rods for Dropshot and Light Jig: version 210ML and 240M.
The 210ML version is designed for dropshot and Light Jigs hooks from the boat or from the shore when you don't need to throw long distances or fish in strong current.
The 240M version is slightly longer and stronger, ensuring longer launches and heavier catches.
